Repercussions for Madras Chief for maltreating students

The Maulana, a native of Uttar Pradesh, has been staying in Beawar with his family and managing the madrasa for last few years. Incidentally, last year, three boys had run away from the madrasa but Chouhan confirmed that these were not the same boys who had leveled the allegations and said, “The boys who have complained are not the same ones who had run away, only to be found later. Out of the three boys who ran away, one has returned to the madrasa, while the other two are with their parents.

District administration of Beawar in Ajmer District is soon going to start legal proceedings against Maulana who has been accused of maltreatment as well as ‘unwanted physical touch’ by the students there.

The students came forward around six months back, following which a committee was formed to look into the matter. They questioned the students and other stakeholders, following which allegations were found to be largely true. The court is going to take legal action against the Maulana.
